SYLMAR STUDIOS
Animated explainer videos with digital illustrations
Introducing Studio Net
For Sylmar Studios, I was tasked with visualizing their massive sound stages and the high-powered 'Studio Net' system connecting them. Following early concept exploration, the project evolved into an illustrated, sun-soaked hidden valley."
I hand-drew and digitally painted the entire landscape from scratch. To bring it to life, I broke the artwork apart into structured layers for After Effects, animating glowing light tubes that weave across the valley to visually link each building. Dynamic camera pans and subtle parallax parallax framing turn the static illustration into a living, connected environment.

Digital Painting & Animation
California’s Film & TV Tax Credit
Every element was hand-drawn and painted in Procreate, and then broken apart and animated together in AfterEffects.
How does the tax credit in California work and how will it benefit the film industry today? This hand-drawn explainer video breaks it down step by step. I was responsible for the creative direction, illustration, design, and animation, crafting and painting all visuals by hand to create an engaging, easy-to-follow explanation of a complex topic.
This video was made in partnership with the California Production Coalition.
